This year there are plenty of opportunies to know more about our organization with the hope you will find your part on how to join us.  We need your expertise and experience to service on one of our committees.  For your review, posted below are the committees you could serve on.

It is through the work of these committees that the brothers and sisters of our Association will remain connected.

ALUMNI FEBRUARY SPOTLIGHT: DAVID CHOATE

This months alumni spotlight goes out to a 2006 SCPA Alumni who is helping Cincinnati change it’s views on what a dancer looks like. This month we spotlight fellow alum, David Choate!

David is the Artistic Director who has created Revolution Dance Theatre, an African American troupe now in residence at the Aronoff Center. David’s company is the ONLY African American led Dance Company with residency at the Historic Aronoff Center for the Arts!

A Big Bravo goes out to 1979 Alumni John Calhoun! John just got a nomination from the Branson International Film Festival for “Best Actor” for his role in Alan and the fullness of Time. You can watch the film today on Amazon Prime Video!
We’d like to shout out SCPA Alum Carlton Totten on his role in the new BET+ movie Influence written by Carl Weber. Carlton joins the cast with stars like Deborah Cox, Columbus Short, and Anthony Hamilton.

Streaming on BET+ February 20th!
We celebrate SCPA Alumni  Missy Lay-Zimmer Hubbard who is now the owner/director of Planet Dance Cincinnati will be traveling to New Zealand with her dance company Exhale Dance Tribe along with husband/owner/director Andrew Hubbard! They will be off to Auckland to premiere a work at the New Zealand Arts Festival-2020. 
A congrats is in order for SCPA Alumni, Glenna Adkins. Glenna’s painting (Shown here) will be featured in a home for HGTV’s Bargain Mansions season 3!

SCPA would like to thank everyone who contributed to the success of the 2020 Future of the Arts Gala. It was a night of wonder and possibilities as current and rising stars combined to show just how bright the current and future state of the Cincinnati arts scene is. Thank you to everyone who attended, contributed and volunteered to make such a remarkable night possible. We look forward to seeing you at performances around the city and back at the 2021 Future of the Arts Gala! – SCPA Fund
